The Big House

Don't be such a square!  The design of this house is an exercise in keeping the colour palette black and white whale toying with different patterns and textures.  Bold patterns help to create strong lines to emphasize different key aspects of the design.  Graphic tiles create focal points in the bathrooms, while mixing patterns in the fabric choices take the dramatic and somber colour palette into a playful and eclectic collaboration.  This house is designed in a transitional style, combining classic architectural features and built-ins with modern patterns and furniture.  There's a little something for everyone in this house!

The objective of this house is to provide comfortable living for a large family.  The expansive kitchen seats up to seven people and emphasizes the scenic view out the large windows.  A large walk-in pantry houses plenty of storage as well as the fridge and freezer, and has the potential to house a large wine collection.  The rest of the main floor is devoted to family living and communication, with a large dining area and comfortable living room.  The basement is dedicated to fun, including a movie theater and anything else a family might want.  Upstairs, four bedrooms each have their own baths and custom built-ins for all of their clothing.  And the master bedroom comes with a large master bath and walk-in closet.
